Empowering students, equipping educators
School Support Service
The AEIOU School Support Service is a transformative program designed to support neurodivergent students in Prep to Year 3, including those with autism and other disabilities. Through a collaborative, school-based approach, we provide tailored support that enhances access to education, promotes active participation in the curriculum, and drives improved learning outcomes.

Support
An interdisciplinary approach
At AEIOU, we believe in a team-based approach. Our behaviour analysts, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, and early education specialists collaborate with teachers and families to develop practical, effective strategies that help students thrive.

Our program is built on AEIOU’s proven expertise in early intervention, integrating allied health and education to create inclusive learning environments. Our team works closely with teachers, students, and families to deliver:
- Classroom Supports: Creating safe, accessible learning environments tailored to student needs.
- Targeted Interventions: Helping students navigate routines and adjust to curriculum demands with personalised strategies.
- Proactive Transitions: Preparing students for key changes, such as starting school, moving classrooms, or adapting to new teachers.
- Behavioural Support: Addressing behaviours of concern, fostering self-regulation, confidence, and emotional well-being.
- Professional Development: Equipping teachers with evidence-based strategies and tools to support neurodivergent learners.

Beyond student support
Strengthening school communities
Our program does more than support individual students -- it enhances teacher capacity, promotes inclusive teaching practices, and fosters school-wide sustainability. By building resilience, independence, and confidence, we’re committed to ensuring every child reaches their full potential.
Who can access this service?
The AEIOU School Support Service is available for lower primary schools (Prep – Year 3) as part of the Specialist Disability Support in Schools (SDSS) program. This partnership empowers teachers with the tools and knowledge needed to support neurodivergent students effectively.
